Master Program in Statistics

The Master Program (MStat) in Statistics is an eighteen-month full-time taught and a half year of seminar and publication master degree at Universitas Islam Indonesia. It is focused on current computationally-intensive methods as well as its fundamental knowledge.

M.Stat in Statistics aims to train you to apply critical and statistical reasoning and to presents logical and concise argument. We develop your problem solving skills through diverse learning and provide you the opportunity to learn outside statistics based on the real-world statistical problems at hand. In the end, you should be able to apply an appropriate statistical method to the solution of problems, do the analysis computationally, communicate and present your results clearly.

VISION

Master’s Program in Statistics is envisioned to develop research- in Statistics and related fields to generate credible (capable and flexible) alumni with Islamic perspective

MISSION

To provide nationally standardized education with a global outlook to enable students to play a role as a statistician at the national and global levels.
To perform widely recognized research in focused areas of statistical theory, application, methodology, and education.
To explore applications of statistics and engage in collaborative research in an interdisciplinary environment.
To provide professional services based on our diverse statistical expertise to the scientific, technical, and educational community.
To integrate Islamic values in educational, research and community service activities.

OBJECTIVES

To train students to apply critical and statistical reasoning, to present logical and concise arguments, to develop problem solving skills through diverse learning and to acquire strong Islamic characters.
To enhance students’ investigation, communication, and presentation skills
To prepare students for the application of statistical techniques to solve problems in applied statistics
To provide students with the opportunity to learn about materials outside statistics
