Curriculum

Following the Presidential Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 8 of 2012, the Statistics Study Program of Universitas Islam Indonesia (SSP-UII) has devised a curriculum based on graduate qualifications corresponding to the Indonesian Qualifications Framework (IQF). These qualifications include 4 domains: attitudes and values, ability, mastery of knowledge, and authority and responsibility.

The SSP-UII curriculum consists of 59 compulsory courses and 35 elective courses. The number of credits for each course is determined by its content, workload, and regulations set by UII and the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia. The distribution of these courses is presented in the following table.

Based on the UII Regulation No. 7 of 2017, compulsory university courses must be completed by all study programs in UII. Compulsory SSP courses are specific to a student’s study program that have been established by FORSTAT (Forum Penyelenggara Program Studi Statitsika) and extended to local genius study programs. Practicum courses are compulsory for study programs that require specific abilities, such as computer and software skills; students must choose one of the scientific interests. The SSP-UII curriculum consists of five scientific interests: statistical disaster management, social and business statistics, industrial statistics, data science, and actuarial science.

SSP-UII students complete a minimum of 145 credits in 4 years. These credits comprise 127 credits from compulsory courses and at least 18 credits from elective courses. The latter includes compulsory scientific interest courses and free elective courses with 9 credits for each.
