The Department of Business Mathematics Program of the School of Applied STEM at Universitas Prasetiya Mulya is seeking applicants for several Faculty Member positions to teach undergraduate mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, quantitative finance, and data analytics courses in addition to performing research that leads to scholarly publication and community services. Business Mathematics Program has three concentrations: Actuarial Mathematics, Financial Mathematics, and Industrial Mathematics.
Candidates must have a Master Degree or preferably Doctorate Degree from an accredited institution. Candidates must receive their degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Quantitative Finance, Management Science, or a related quantitative discipline.
In addition to the qualification listed above, we prefer that the candidate has the following:
• Succesful experience in teaching mathematics, statistics, or a related quantitative discipline such as Actuarial Science, Quantitative Finance, or Data Analytics at the college level
• Strong commitment to excellence in teaching
• Ability to work effectively with administration, faculty, staff, and students from various backgrounds
• Acquaintance with business courses such as finance and economics
• Experience or interest in computer technologies and instruction
• Knowledge of at least one computer programming such as R, Phyton, and/or C++
• Knowledge of mathematical applications such as MATLAB and/or Maplesoft
